St Francis Xavier Catholic Kindergarten Mackay

Established in 2018, St Francis Xavier Catholic Kindergarten is a charity-based kindergarten in West Mackay with a capacity to cater for 44 children per day. Our Queensland Approved Kindergarten:

• A qualified Early Childhood Teacher
• An art studio (called an ‘atelier’) where children can engage in artistic expression
• Learning experiences following principles from STEAM – Early years Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Mathematics
• Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program - our focus language is Japanese
• Participating with the St Francis Xavier Catholic School in liturgy and events
• Regular prep visits and joint activities to assist with transition from kindy to school
• Nature play in our mud kitchen and gardening in the fully enclosed veggie patch in our extensive outdoor area
• Fully operational water course
• Keeping families up-to-date through our online communication application – ‘Storypark’
