In developing their Teaching and Learning Framework, each primary school and college has highlighted three key components based on the concepts of belonging, connecting and learning. The components are Vision and Mission, School Curriculum Plan, and Schoolwide Pedagogical Approach.

Vision and Mission

Provides a common understanding of and shared language for the school community’s purpose and aspirations.

All members of the school community work in partnership, bringing a desired future to fulfilment and a deep sense of belonging for all.

School Curriculum Plan

Provides a clear plan for how the Australian Curriculum will be taught, assessed and reported to parents and carers.

School and college leaders and teachers use this plan to inform implementation of the Australian Curriculum, QCAA Senior Syllabuses and Vocational Education and Training courses.

Schoolwide Pedagogical Approach

Provides an agreed position on how teachers will teach so that students progress and grow in their knowledge and understanding, thrive as learners, and experience success.

Consistent, evidence-based approaches enable teachers to focus on the practices that have been demonstrated to make a difference to outcomes for learners. Teachers reflect on their approach and are continually supported to refine their practice.
