School Improvement

Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Rockhampton have been involved in processes of renewal for more than thirty years. During that time the process has developed and been refined several times.

The most recent review of this process occurred in 2016 and formalised the use of the National School Improvement Tool (NSIT) and the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Project (ECSIP) within all our schools. Contemporary research about School Improvement as well as the existing School Review and Improvement process was incorporated into the new School Improvement Framework. This framework incorporates the accreditation requirements of the Queensland Non-State School Accreditation Board. Further information about this Queensland Government legislation is available in Section 14 of the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Regulation, 2001.  http://www.nssab.qld.edu.au/

The School Improvement Framework is a process of continuous self-improvement in our schools, with each school undertaking an External Validation each five years.

The Principal and the School Board have key roles in this process of continuous improvement and are supported by the relevant Assistant to the Director: Schools.
