Applicants will be:

• In their third or fourth year of an undergraduate early childhood or primary education degree or have commenced their master’s degree in Education (Early Childhood or Primary) at any university across Australia. 
• Eligible to complete their course within the two-year period following commencement of the CAP. 
• Due to complete their formal course of study in 2027 or 2028.

SPONSORED PRACTICUM PLACEMENTS

Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton (CEDR) offers sponsored practicum placements to eligible pre-service teachers seeking to teach with CEDR.

Inclusions: 

• Travel allowance: equal to one return economy airfare or reimbursement of fuel and meals incurred in transit. 
• Accommodation in an established teacher's residence. This may involve sharing with teachers.
• $200 per week living away from home allowance.

Eligibility:

• Currently studying a pre-service teaching course with successful completion of at least 50% of the course (ie. half way through the course).
• Successful completion of previous prac placements.
• Be open to learning more about rural and remote education.

Placements can be arranged in other locations within the diocese including Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Mackay with applicants sourcing their own accommodation.
