St Paul’s Catholic Primary School, Gracemere welcomes New Principal

Developing a whole school culture of high expectations, maintaining a strong commitment to learning and growth of both students and staff, and nurturing an authentic Catholic identity through prayer, service and community were key focus areas for newly appointed Principal at St Paul’s Catholic Primary School, Gracemere.
Mrs Nicole Anderson, a familiar face at St Paul’s having served as Assistant Principal: Curriculum at the school for the past four years, has stepped into the role of Principal this year with more than two decades of teaching experience and a clear vision for the school community.
“I strive to lead with compassion, clarity and purpose. I want to ensure staff feel supported and valued and that as a school community we build strong relationships through deep connections with our families, parish and the wider community,” Mrs Anderson said.
“Through nurturing a whole school culture of high expectations, together with focused teaching and carefully sequenced learning we aim to empower and motivate all students to value learning and to share their gifts with confidence, creativity and generosity.”
“We look to see the student as a learner and a person through a growth mindset,” she said.
With an affinity for relational and approachable leadership and a great love of teaching, Mrs Anderson places great importance on building teacher capacity and effectiveness.
“Investing time and effort into fostering teacher efficacy leads to consistent practices and messages across the school driving quality and excellence,” Mrs Anderson said.
“St Paul’s has a wonderful school community that witnesses every day to Christ’s example of respecting and valuing the inherent dignity of each person and celebrating their uniqueness and God-given talents,” she said.
“I feel very privileged to have this opportunity to serve as Principal working alongside dedicated teaching professionals and caring support staff, and I am very grateful for the tremendous support of our wonderful students and families,” Mrs Anderson said.
