Overview

St Joseph’s School offers a strong family atmosphere. Children are educated in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy whose core values are mercy, compassion, justice, service and excellence. The school staff strive to keep alive the Mercy Sisters’ mission to educate the whole child – physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Students at St Joseph’s have excellent access to computers and iPads to enhance their learning. The staff are dedicated to delivering a high quality curriculum which targets the learning to each child’s specific needs. St Joseph’s students are involved in visits to the Willows Retirement Village and the Barcaldine Hospital. They also organise community events such as Daffodil Day, Day for Daniel and Pink Ribbon Day. Through this involvement, students learn about giving back to the community and the importance of displaying respect and good manners. They also develop their confidence and communication skills.
